For cheap eats in Mazatlan, you can’t go wrong with Gus, Gus and Pancho’s. Both of them serve authentic Mexican food and Pancho’s offers unforgettable ocean views. Mangos serves international cuisine and is known for their Mango Margaritas. Of course, they are! Sombrero Bay is a Mediterranean style restaurant that features a marimba band while you eat.
For good seafood, try Canuck’s in old town and Mister Ace, where the ambience is elegant and the waiters wear tuxedos. Los Arcos is known for its fresh fish and all the fishermen eat here which is a great endorsement. Ambrosia caters to vegetarians and the menu includes vegetables, pasta and enchiladas. Casa Loma has outstanding food and is off the beaten path where the tourists can’t find it. Until now that is.
Senor Pepper’s is a romantic restaurant with candle light, a cozy feel and some of the best continental food in Mazatlan. At Papagayo, you can eat on the terrace facing the beach and enjoy delicious seafood and Mexican specialties. The sunsets are gorgeous.
The Royal Villa Resort in the Hotel Zone and on the beach is an all suite hotel with ocean views and is family friendly. Amenities are top notch. The Oceano Palace on the beach is surrounded by tropical gardens and the rooms offer mountain or ocean views. They have a freshwater pool and offer scuba lessons and snorkeling equipment.
The El Cid Marina Beach Hotel is an all-inclusive, all suite resort on one of Mazatlan’s beautiful beaches. Tennis, golf and sports fishing are available and there are six restaurants on the premises. For inexpensive hotel stays, you can’t go wrong at the Las Flores and the Suites Luna Palace.
For an intimate vacation, the Pueblo Bonita Emerald Bay is a beachfront resort offering views of the lush landscaping, mountains and the ocean from one of its many suites or villas. The villas all have balconies, are colorfully designed and quite comfortable. Luxury spa services and a health club along with 2 heated pools help one to relax on arrival.
